Creatively named “Scandinavian World of Innovative Media”, or SWIM for short, has announced two new free open lectures to take place in Malmö and Ystad during the month of September, both of which looks like interesting lectures for those interested in building a sustainable business in production of creative content.
First up is Paul Tyler from Handling Ideas, who will be talking about Creative Business Modelling, and how you can identify ways to finance your project. Specifically, the lecture will touch upon how you can take the value of your creative project, and convert that value into financing for the project. Tylers message is, that as a consequence of the rising importance of the creative, this means, that it can now be utilized to create, finance and distribute stories across multiple platforms.
This talk takes place Monday September 15th between 17.30 and 18.30 at Film i Skåne, Ystad.
Next, Patricia Finneran from Story Matters will talk about “Strategies for Making your Media Matter”. She will walk through the different steps in a strategy of ensuring a sustainable project. Specifically how to create a project pitch that can bring the right partners on board and secure funding for the project.
The talk takes place September 17th between 17.30 and 18.30 at STPLN in Malmö.
The Open Lectures are free, but registration is mandatory, as the number of seats are limited. To register, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with name(s) of participant(s) and which lecture you would like to attend.
