Morgondag’s RymdResa gets Steam release date

The 2-person Swedish game development team behind Morgondag is finally ready to reveal the release date of their upcoming RymdResa game on Steam.

The game, which labels itself as an adventure roguelike space odyssey, reached its last beta phase last week, and this week, the duo behind the game announced that it would hit the virtual Steam shelves on August 20th, 2015.

“We’ve proud to announce that RymdResa will be available on Steam from August 20, 8.00 AM PDT and cost 11.99 USD.”, an official blog post reads.

 

 

GameAnalytics updates its SDK for Unity, better supports mobile

In a truly Danish collaboration, Copenhagen-based GameAnalytics has updated its SDK for Danish Unity’s game engine to better support mobile analytics.

“Key new features in the updated GameAnalytics SDKs include dedicated player progression, designed to facilitate level balancing by offering insight into the way players consume and move through game content.”, a post on the Unity blog reads.

Sven Folkesson Appointed as the new COO of Fatshark

Swedish Stockholm-based Fatshark got a new Chief Operating Officer this week, as Sven Folkesson was appointed COO of the studio. Folkesson has recently stepped down as COO, legal counselor, and co-founder of Nuday Games, the makers of the Rock Science game. The new hire will lay the ground for a future where Fatshark is a self-publishing independent developer, instead of relying on 3rd party publishers.

Void of Heroes Gameplay trailer released

Finnish Tunnel Ground has released the first Gameplay trailer for their mobile mech-shooter, Void of Heroes. The game will release “soon” on the Amazon App Store.

 

 

A Small Game announces Hanger World release

Swedish A Small Game is the game development duo behind the “The Hanger” games series. Originally a flash game released in 2010, the game reached more than 80 million played sessions. When it released on iOS in 2012, and on Android and Amazon later, the game received millions of downloads too, reaching more than 100 million sessions played.

And now, the follow up to the massively popular game has finally been announced. Hanger World will release on iOS on the 29th of July 2015, with an Android build coming later.

 

 

Ice Lakes and End State hit Steam Greenlight

Two Finnish games hit Steam Greenlight this week. The first, End State, is a turn-based tactical shooter by Finnish independent developer, Henry Vuontisjärvi.

Ice Lakes is a modern ice fishing simulator, featuring both singeplayer and multiplayer modes. The game is being developed by Iceflake Studios, an independent game development studio from Finland founded in 2007.
