Job of the Week: 3 Positions at Funcom

Founded in Oslo, Norway, in 1993, Funcom is one of the oldest Norwegian independent game developers and publishers. Among its most popular titles are Age of Conan, The Secret World, and Anarchy Online, all of which has helped profile the studio among the very best in online MMORPG games.

Funcom employs 130 people across a wide variety of areas, and there are currently three open positions at Funcom’s office in Oslo, Norway:


Position: Junior UI Programmer

Project: Lego Minifigures Online

Deadline: 2015-06-01


Funcom Oslo is looking for a programmer to join the Lego Minifigures Online team in creating the user interfaces for the game.

Lego Minifigures Online is a cross platform, online, roleplaying game aimed at children and adults for PC, Mac, iOS and Android platforms and the User Experience and Interfaces of the game are extremely important for the overall quality of the game.


Position: Character Artist

Project: Studio position

Deadline: 2015-09-01


Funcom is now looking for an enthusiastic Character Artist to join a highly motivated team of talented developers and industry veterans working on a next-gen title.

We offer you a job in a friendly environment of enthusiastic professionals willing to go the extra mile to deliver world-class games. As part of the job you will produce, implement and maintain character assets to project quality, specifications and style.


Position: Senior C++ Programmer

Project: DreamWorld

Deadline: 2015-06-01


Funcom is looking for an experienced C++ programmer to join the development team in Oslo in the production of exciting online RPG games, more specifically working with the DreamWorld Technology.

Funcom’s DreamWorld Technology is a World Class MMORPG technology platform with high quality PC, Mac, iOS and Android graphics and features. We are working on expanding the engine to better support cross platform development and for development of efficient game authoring tools to power our current and future games.
